Summary

Esurance is hiring a Senior Specialist, Web Optimization to join our Performance Marketing team in the San Francisco, CA office.  As the Senior Specialist, Web Optimization you will support innovation and growth through structured testing of web page design and messaging that maximizes conversion, brand/product messaging, policyholder protection (cross-sell/upsell), customer retention and customer experience. We're looking for an individual who is passionate about testing and validating marketing efforts through data and balances those quantitative skills with highly effective collaboration and communication skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Generate and implement new testing ideas that support business objectives; bring them to fruition, distill findings into actionable insight and communicate insights to business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and synthesize business needs into viable A/B and multi-variate tests.
  • Manage end-to-end testing process, including requirements gathering, implementation, measurement, and next-step recommendations.
  • Segment traffic to understand and optimize user experience and conversion based on source, channel, visitor frequency, tenure, demographics, etc.
  • Partner with application and department managers, digital campaign managers and creative services (copy, design, UX) to develop and implement a testing roadmap to further digital transformation efforts.  
  • Evaluate industry trends, competitive environment and new technology (features/functionality) to improve the overall digital experience.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills including extensive knowledge of Excel. 
  • FamiliarityExpertise with A/B testing and experiment design software (SiteSpect, Maxymiser, Optimizely, etc.) 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment using sound judgment in decision-making. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Strong marketing and business acumen. 
  • Self-starter curiosity and a drive toward efficiency. 
  • Proficiency with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc) is a strong plus.

 

Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Business, or a related field; plus 3-5 years of direct marketing experience required. 
  • At least 1-2 years of website testing and optimization experience required.
