Summary

Esurance is hiring a Leadership Development Consultant to join our L&D team in the San Francisco, CA office.  As the Leadership Development Consultant you will develop, coordinate, deliver and manage learning programs.  Additionally, you will deliver training interventions to achieve strategic goals and objectives in partnership with executives and managers, and will assist all levels of management in problem solving in the areas of leadership development, organizational development, performance management, communication, and organizational effectiveness. In this role, you will also ensure identified business and performance outcomes are realized with appropriate linkage to business unit strategy or vision.

 

This position has a very strong focus on OE (organizational effectiveness), and the ideal candidate will have experience within that realm.  

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders in assigned business groups to assess and analyze learning needs, develop core competencies and develop performance management improvement strategies.
  • Design and deliver training programs on a wide variety of professional development topics including leadership, performance management and organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage learning programs and projects including needs assessment, implementation, program tracking and reporting, and linking results to business goals.
  • Collect and analyze information on available training sources, methods, costs and program evaluations.
  • Maintain depth and breadth of knowledge and experience across all areas of training, leadership and organizational development.
  • Market and communicate training products, services, methodologies and success stories.
  • Coach, mentor, and share knowledge with fellow team members.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with effective learning facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in and current knowledge of principles of organizational development, group dynamics, adult learning theory, performance consulting, and project management.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, independently, and within a collaborative, team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision making.
  • Able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects based on business needs and requirements.
  • Able to effectively implement change management initiatives.
  • Able to determine key business issues, develop appropriate learning action plans and link program results to business strategies and goals.
  • Able to interface with all functions at all levels within the organization.
  • Approximately 15% - 25% travel required.

Experience / Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Organizational Development , a related field or equivalent education is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and delivering training programs plus 3 or more years of experience in management consulting preferred.
  • Experience as an operational manager with daily responsibilities desired.
  • Experience with Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design methods and integrating such methods into learning material and program development desired.
