Summary

Esurance is hiring a Senior Claims Representative - Property to join our Claims team in our Richardson, TX office.  As a Senior Claims Representative - Property you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and adjust moderately complex to complex property claims presented by or against our insured to confirm coverage, determine legal liability and settle/defend in compliance with all state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provides property claims service via internal channels (phone/fax/email/mail/) to Insureds and third party customers.
  • Adjusts moderately complex to complex property claims. Severity of claims includes personal property claims involving moderate to high dollar value, additional living expense claims, liability claims involving physical damage, and writing personal property and moderate to complex valued dwelling estimates.
  • Acquires and applies advanced knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages, and Esurance claims best practices.
  • Serves as a resource and mentor to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
  • Partners with and/or directs vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
  • Contributes to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively uses tools & technology.
  • Supports workload surges and/or Catastrophe operations as needed to include working overtime during times where volume is high.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience handling dwelling claims.
  • Proficient in using property estimating software
  • Proficient in using Contents Software and associated analytical tools.
  • Intimate Knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law.
  • Must be able to work in phone intensive environment.
  • Ability to meet all state licensing requirements


Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field, and/or equivalent education required.
  • 4+ years relevant property claims adjusting experience.
  • Prior work experience in a Catastrophe Claims Response environment.
  • Property field or desk estimating experience.
  • Wind/hail claims experience
