Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with leaders and other team members to clearly define business problems and opportunity areas.
  • Provides objective and insightful reporting on baseline performance results.
  • Employs complex analytic methods (segmentation analysis, statistical analysis, etc.) to identify root causes and synthesize meaningful insights.
  • Transforms analyses into actionable business recommendations intended to optimize performance, improve efficiency, and reduce expenses.
  • Utilizes predictive analytic concepts to develop and improve forecasting models.
  • Provides analytic support for strategic test design and experimentation.
  • Designs project plans, manages timelines, and leads projects associated with complex analysis.
  • Presents analytic findings directly to operational leadership.
  • Serves as a trusted partner and advocate for data-driven decision-making to leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven quantitative analytical skills and mastery of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of relational databases; experience with Microsoft Access required; SQL preferred
  • Demonstrated statistical knowledge:
    regression, confidence intervals, significance testing; R preferred
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and capable of working independently with little direct oversight
  • Capable of establishing strong relationships with business partners and effectively communicating complex analyses
  • Willing to collaborate and serve as mentor to both internal and external team members

 

Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor in Business, Finance, Statistics, Marketing or equivalent work experience; Graduate degree preferred
  • 4+ years experience providing quantitative analyses
  • Insurance or call center industry experience preferred
