Esurance Canada is hiring Sales and Service Agents to join our Sales and Service Canada team.  As a Sales and Service Agent you will actively seek new business and provide service to the existing customer base. Additionally, you will gather information, provide answers to our customers, and discuss and bind coverages in both a Customer Service role as well as a Sales role.


Hours for this position are - Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Saturday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.  


This is a salaried position + monthly incentives + 10% shift differential for hours worked after 6 pm on weekdays, + 15% shift differential for hours worked on Saturday. 


  • Provide superior phone service to new and existing customers
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all product information
  • Meet or exceed applicable production requirements
  • Answer consumer’s questions regarding new policies and/or quotes that require specific licensed training
  • Initiate outbound calls for policy sales or follow up work
  • Initiate internal workflow documents within sales and service and other departments efficiently and accurately
  • Field escalated calls placed by potential or existing customers
  • Suggest process improvements through appropriate channels based on customer and associate feedback
  • Operate within Esurance guidelines to achieve appropriate resolutions and meet department goals
  • Promote company by providing top-notch service and inviting referrals
  • Meet standards for applicable metrics assigned to Sales and Service Agent role to determine performance
  • Maintain applicable job skills and certifications via Esurance training or otherwise
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Must maintain a current OTL (Other Than Life) license or have the ability to obtain a license within 60 days of acceptance of the position
  • Ability to listen attentively and provide excellent customer service to policyholders
  • Ability to relay the Esurance product internally and externally with proper grammar, enunciation, and cohesive call flow
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Ability to operate provided phone system, Esurance and Microsoft Office products, and other office equipment
  • Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures


Experience / Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a customer service environment
  • OTL license preferred
