    Responsibilities

    As the Integrated Marketing Communications Manager you will own the strategic development, creative execution and implementation of offline and online advertising and integrated marketing communications efforts that align with Esurance marketing strategies to drive brand familiarity, consideration and preference. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the entire Marketing team and with our advertising, digital and media agency partners.

     

    • Leads the development of marketing communication plans and programs aligned with marketing strategies to deliver on brand and marketing objectives.
    • Leads the creative development and execution of world class, integrated, insight-based marketing communications, with a focus on driving creative excellence and effectiveness in digital channels (online video, streaming audio, display, paid social and landing pages), ensuring integration with overall brand positioning, brand standards and messaging strategy.
    • Develops a deep knowledge and understanding of the target consumer to identify key insights that can be leveraged in advertising and communications across the entire customer journey.
    • Leads cross-functional teams and programs that drive results, including aligning team members with differing points of view, ensuring collaboration and integration, developing efficient processes and delivering expected outcomes.
    • Develops Assignment Initiation Memos/briefs to the advertising agencies and/or internal creative team as needed.
    • Manages the creative development process and workflow of the advertising agencies, ensuring the flawless execution of all advertising and communication efforts, including digital advertising.
    • Develops and maintains strong partnership with Media team to better integrate message and media, explore new media opportunities, particularly in the digital space, and create optimal communication mix. Works closely with media team to develop testing plans, and attends weekly reviews to optimize digital creative performance.
    • Collaborates with marketing strategy, media, public relations, social media, creative services and production teams to ensure alignment, integration and consistent brand voice and messaging across all consumer touchpoints.
    • Inspires outside agency partners to excellence by providing clear direction in a collaborative and positive way.
    • Manages communications needs/requests, including the development of presentations and videos.
    • Creates and updates an annual communication calendar that highlights all programs, messaging, media and will be used to inform key constituencies and stakeholders.
    • Oversees and manages the annual non-working production budget.
    • Acts as a thought leader and takes an external view, keeping abreast of latest industry, marketing, advertising and media trends and leverages best practices within the Marketing team.

    Qualifications

    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
    • Strong strategic, analytic and creative judgment skills.
    • Deep digital creative background, with experience developing testing plans and managing dynamic creative optimization campaigns a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
    • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation.
    • Demonstrated strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).  

     

    Experience / Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications, advertising, digital marketing, marketing, a related field and/or equivalent education required.
    • Seven or more years of experience in integrated marketing communications or advertising; advertising agency or digital agency experience a plus; strong background in evaluating creative and advertising development and production (online and offline).
    • Seven or more years of experience leading digital marketing programs, including planning, development, execution and optimization of digital creative.
