  • Summary

Esurance is looking for a Marketing Experimentation Specialist to join a dynamic and award-winning team of individuals who are committed to making insurance smarter, easier, and dare we say- cooler. As part of a growing company that is focused on providing an outstanding customer experience, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills and discover your potential.

If you’re looking for a career at a socially conscious company that offers great benefits — including matching 401k and tuition reimbursement — then you may have just found your new home.

Esurance combines the spunk of a startup company with the backing of Allstate (the largest publicly held personal lines insurer in the U.S.) to create a unique, energized, and exciting place to work.

The Marketing Experimentation Specialist will be part of a team that seeks out and validates creative and fun ways to continually improve the Esurance customer experience and by result, our bottom line. At each stage of the experimentation process you will consult with stakeholders and support the goals of our key enterprise initiatives. In this role, you will help to accelerate the optimization process while simultaneously mitigating risk.

By socializing insights across every level of the organization, you will help embed an experimentation culture into the Esurance DNA. Through the power of site testing technology and the scientific rigor of controlled experimentation, you will deliver increased cost savings, additional revenue and industry leading user experiences.

    • Lead cross-functional teams to provide business and functional requirements, technical direction, domain expertise, and feasibility analysis for new experiments.
    • Manage end-to-end experimentation process for high-impact and/or complex experiments, including requirements gathering, implementation, measurement, and next-step recommendations to business leaders.
    • Generate high-impact experiment ideas that support business objectives and prioritize those against existing roadmap
    • Partner with application and department managers, digital campaign managers and creative services (copy, design, UX) to develop and maintain an experimentation roadmap to further digital transformation efforts.
    • Evaluate industry trends, competitive environment and new technology (features/functionality) to improve the overall digital experience.
    • Segment traffic to understand and optimize user experience and conversion based on source, channel, visitor frequency, tenure, demographics, etc.

    • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills
    • Expertise with A/B testing and experiment design software (SiteSpect, Maxymiser, Optimizely, etc)
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment using sound judgment in decision-making
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex, technical concepts into concise, digestible insight.
    • Strong foundation of statistical concepts as they relate to web experimentation
    • Exceptional marketing and business acumen
    • Self-starter curiosity and a drive toward efficiency
    • Proficiency with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc) is a strong plus

    Experience / Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
    • 3-5 years of direct marketing experience
    • At least 2 years of website testing and optimization experience
