    Delivers formal and informal training to the claims community which includes coaching, testing, and monitoring outcomes of all training delivered, and provide formal updates to management. Facilitates problem solving meetings. Provides mentorship to associates.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of claims training programs including the instructional design of training programs (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation)
    • Delivers formal classroom training material for associates. including delivery, testing, written summaries and monitoring of students progress. Summaries for each student will be provided to the Training Manager and Branch Manager.
    • Facilitates problem solving meetings upon request at the branch level.
    • Provides mentorship to associates to improve work performance.
    • Modifies established training materials to tailor training needs for targeted audience
    • Obtains Continuing Education certification of all training courses where appropriate and delivers Continuing Education courses .
    • Helps establish training and development plans for all new hires and monitor their progress
    • Maintains training materials used within the Claims organization.
    • Assists in developing a database to track employee training progress
    • Reviews claim files and audit results to identify needs assessments and training opportunities as time permits
    • Understands the full claims operation, systems, contract provisions, company policies and procedures
    • Assists in evaluating training material, employee and branch needs analysis, reinforce concepts, and manage the performance of classroom participants towards expectations of their jobs


    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
    • Excellent communication skills both oral and written with effective presentation and facilitation skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the property & casualty industry and related training issues
    • Strong functional and technical skills and/or the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly
    • Must be able to travel approximately 25%


    Experience / Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Business Administration and/or equivalent education required.
    • Four years or more claims processing experience preferred
    • Experience with development and delivery of training programs (eLearning programs) preferred
