    As a Compliance Analyst at Esurance you will provide oversight and guidance while conducting audits to ensure that the company's insurance operations are conducted in compliance primarily with state insurance laws and company policies and procedures.

    • Serves as a liaison between the Company and the State Insurance Department and other regulatory entities.
    • Tracks, researches and responds to Department of Insurance, Better Business Bureau, and other direct-written consumer complaints within established timeframes.
    • Assists in the management and coordination of Market Conduct Examinations and carrier audits; including the review of previous examination findings to assess current regulatory/market conduct exposures and review of corrective actions to ensure continued compliance.
    • Assists in the research and/or coordination of responses to regulatory inquiries, including premium surveys, NAIC Market Conduct Annual Statement.
    • Responsible for conducting compliance audits to determine ongoing compliance with internal policies and procedures, and all legal/regulatory requirements.
    • Responsible for conducting regularly scheduled audits of company policy forms and notices.
    • Prepare audit reports with details of findings and propose corrective actions.
    • Researches and interprets state insurance laws and regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Maintains accurate documentation of all complaints and audit/exam results.
    • Maintains positive relationships with other internal departments, state regulators and customers.
    • Participate in special compliance projects as requested.
    • Other duties/functions may be assigned, as required.


    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with strong analytical skills and the ability to think through and resolve complex problems independently.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
    • Able to both work independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access) and research applications.
    • Able to analyze and process state statutes, regulations and administrative codes.


    Experience / Education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
    • 3 or more years of related industry experience required, preferably in regulation, compliance, auditing, or underwriting.
    • Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Market Conduct Management (MCM), Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation preferred.
